How to reach Nashik for the Kumbh Mela 2027
Nashik has an airport at Ojhar, a railway station at Nashik Road, highways running to Dhule, Pune and Thane, and four state bus stands. Each one leaves you some distance from the ghats, and that distance decides your last leg.

What has not been announced
No 2027 timetable has been notified for any way of reaching Nashik. The Kumbh Mela Authority has proposed terminating some trains from north and east India at Kasbe Sukene, Kherwadi and Odha, and carrying passengers on to Nashik by bus. The Authority marks the proposal tentative.

How do you reach Nashik by air?
Ojhar Airport is the nearest, about 24 km from the city centre. The district administration lists it as Ojhar Nashik International Airport. No flight arrangement for the Kumbh has been announced.

How do you reach Nashik by rail?
Nashik Road railway station, about 10 km from the city centre, is the station nearly every pilgrim uses. It sits on Central Railway’s Bhusawal–Manmad–Igatpuri section — 376 km and 39 stations — which also carries Devlali, Odha, Kherwadi and Kasbe Sukene, the stations nearest the Kumbh ground on either side of Nashik Road itself.
The Kumbh Mela Authority has proposed terminating some trains from north and east India at Kasbe Sukene, Kherwadi and Odha rather than running them through to Nashik Road, and carrying passengers the rest of the way by bus. The Authority marks this tentative. Nothing has been notified.

How do you reach Nashik by road?
Three roads carry most arrivals.

Most pilgrims coming from Mumbai take the last of these. It is usually called the Mumbai–Agra road rather than by a highway number. The Samruddhi Mahamarg, the expressway between Mumbai and Nagpur, also passes near Nashik.

How do you reach Nashik by bus?
The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation runs into four stands in the city: Nashik Central, Nashik Mahamarg, Panchavati and Nashik Road. Nashik Central is the closest to the ghats, about 3 km from Ramkund. No Kumbh timetable has been announced.
